Special Issue on TAIFE2008
Taiwan Automotive International Forum & Exhibition, TAIFE 2008, will be held at Taipei World Trade Center Nangang Exhibition Hall in Taipei city during April 9~10, 2008.
The main theme of TAIFE is “Oriental Power vs. Global Pulsation”. This year we have the “Harmony of Human, Vehicle and Environment” to be the sub-theme and also have 3 topics of each forum. The keynote speeches are scheduled right after the opening ceremony in the morning of April 9. Three forums are planned for the following day to April 10.
Taipei AMPA 2008 has grown to include more than a thousand booths, a verification of the high esteem that Taiwan has won for the technology and quality behind its products in the international marketplace. ‘Made in Taiwan’ automotive parts are recognized and welcomed throughout the world today, and ‘MIT’ has become synonymous with innovative technology and outstanding quality. This year marks the third year for TAIFE, and it is the first time it has been combined with AMPA. This is yet another step toward internationalization and integration for Taiwan’s automotive industry. It demonstrates the farsightedness of the industry’s technological R&D and efforts to increase added value, moreover, it also establishes an image of outstanding quality of ‘Made in Taiwan’ automotive parts and their export competitiveness.
To meet demands of current environment and trend, TAIFE 2008 was
featured with “Harmony of Human, Vehicle and Environment” and held the
keynote speeches and three forums to invite more than ten experts of
international auto makers and well-known scholars from Europe, America and
Asia, In clouded Mr. Mitsuhiko Yamashita, a member of Board Directors and Executive Vice President of Nissan Motor Company and Mr. Young-ill Kim, Vice President of Hyundai & Kia Motors group representatives from Taiwan. During forums, the
experts and scholars were jointly engaged in dialogue, exchange and in-depth
discussion on various technical issues of electrified vehicle, intelligent vehicle and
vehicle ride comfort. The technical issues discussions aimed to bring about
harmonious interactions among human and vehicle, vehicle and environment as
well as environment and human in the evolution of automotive technologies as well as triggered the challenges to be faced by automotive industry.
“R&D Exhibition” was presented by theme pavilion and started from
“advanced safety”, “green technology” and “chassis sub-system” to respond to
main issues of the forums, also, the “successful cases” section extending the
results of R&D, fully demonstrating Taiwan’s equipment with key advantages and
R&D potentials under changing trend. The key advantages and R&D potentials
can be served as excellent backup to grab the business opportunities of global
automotive market. At exhibition pavilion, TAIFE 2008 even planned the
activities, such as “Talk to the expert” and “new product announcement” and
“successful cases” to attract visitors, media and general public to closely feel the
benefits brought by R&D achievement from technology projects. TAIFE 2008
intended to enhance the connection to international community, implement the
strategies of industry sustainable development and facilitate Taiwan to become R&D center and high added-value auto parts supply base in Asia Pacific region. |
